Crislip named Fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation

CHARLESTON -- Stephen R. Crislip received the honor of being recognized a Fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation at its 10th annual Fellows Dinner on April 24.

Crislip was named a Fellow of the Foundation in 2006 for his "professional, public and private careers, having demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of [his] community and honorable service to the legal profession."

Crislip is the General Counsel to Jackson Kelly, where his practice concentrates in Litigation. Additionally, he is a former President of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, former President of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, a member of the Defense Research Institute Board of Directors, former Chairperson of the West Virginia College of Law Visiting Committee, and a member of the West Virginia Bar Association Executive Council.

He is a former Chairperson of the Kanawha Valley Foundation and the Charleston YMCA. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Association.

Former Jackson Kelly attorney Michael A. Albert also was named a Fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation. Having retired from the practice of law, Albert is Chairperson of the West Virginia Public Service Commission.

In the years since the inception of the West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellows, other Jackson Kelly attorneys have been named Fellows. They are James K. Brown, Gary Joe Triplett, Alvin L. Emch, Mary Clare Eros, W. Warren Upton, George R. Farmer Jr., Louis S. Southworth II, Thomas E. Potter and John L. McClaugherty.
