HUNTINGTON -- Huddleston Bolen has announced that Robert E. Ryan has been elected to the partnership of the firm.
Ryan has been with the firm since May 2000. He headquarters his practice in the Charleston office of the firm where he has developed wide-ranging experience and practices with emphasis in the areas of transportation law, insurance defense, insurance coverage, professional negligence, brain injury and toxic torts.
"Robert's contributions to the firm have been outstanding. His recognition by his peers and his clients have always been extremely positive. His promotion to partner is very well deserved," said Tom Gilpin, Chair of the firm's management committee.
Ryan is very involved in Charleston and West Virginia having served as the District Chairman, Mt. Rifle District, for the Boy Scouts of America and as a member of the Executive Board of the Buckskin Council, BSA, which serves the youth of all of southern West Virginia and parts of Kentucky and Virginia.
Ryan served as Finance Chairman for the 2004 West Virginia Victory Committee which was dedicated to educating our citizenry and supporting efforts encouraging West Virginians to vote. He has recently served Gov. Mitt Romney in his bid for the Republican Presidential nomination as Chief Counsel in West Virginia and a member of the Romney for President West Virginia Statewide Steering Committee.
Ryan was born and raised in Morgantown. Following his graduation from Morgantown High School in 1992, Ryan received a B.A. in Political Science from West Virginia University in 1996. He is a 2000 graduate of the Washington and Lee University School of Law.
