CHARLESTON – The next Business for Breakfast is scheduled for Friday, July 25, at the Whitewater Grille in the Charleston Town Center Marriott.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and is scheduled to last an hour.
Rob Godbey, a local business consultant who joined his company GodbeyWorks with Chambers, Paterno & Associates CPA at the beginning of the year, will talk about "How to Motivate Without Money."
"Attracting and retaining talent is one of the biggest issues facing all businesses today," Godbey says. "Part of retaining talented employees is keeping them motivated. What is surprising to many employers is that money is not the biggest or best motivator."
There is no fee, but businesses are encouraged to purchase breakfast. Pre-registration is appreciated. To pre-register, visit www.wvscore.org or e-mail SCORE at score256@wvscore.org.
The breakfast is co-sponsored by SCORE, the State Journal and the West Virginia Small Business Development Center. SCORE and the SBDC are resource partners of the Small Business Administration The facilities are handicapped accessible.
"Business for Breakfast is an important networking and learning opportunity," said Stan Margolis, Charleston Area SCORE Chairman. "A healthy breakfast will improve but not interfere with your work day."
