Kathleen May v. Teays Valley Heating and Cooling, LLC.
PA-Richard E. Holtzapfel; J-David M. Pancake
* On May 14, a fire occurred at May's home on Hancock Court in Barboursville. The plaintiff claims the fire caused more than $100,000 worth of damage to her house, left her homeless for three and a half months and damaged or destroyed family heirlooms. An investigation into the fire by a certified fire and explosion investigator found the cause of the fire to be a defective Goodman Packaged Terminal Heat Pump installed by the defendant. The plaintiff claimed the defendant made harassing telephone calls to her home after she sought legal assistance and is suing for general and specific damages as well as attorney fees.
