MORGANTOWN -- Morgantown attorney Allan N. Karlin has been named one of the top lawyers in West Virginia by Super Lawyers magazine.
The magazine also featured Karlin in an article describing him as "the people's lawyer" for his representation of individuals in cases involving the abuse of governmental and corporate power.
Karlin, who owns the law firm of Allan N. Karlin & Associates, represents clients in cases involving discrimination, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, wrongful death and serious personal injury claims.
In addition to his work as a plaintiff's lawyer, Karlin has previously served as Chairperson of the West Virginia Lawyer Disciplinary Board and has taught Pre-Trial Litigation as an adjunct professor at the WVU College of Law.
He is President of the West Virginia Association for Justice. Lawyers listed in Super Lawyers are selected through a process of nomination by their peers and evaluation by the publisher's research department.
Karlin obtained his undergraduate degree from Yale and his law degree from the university of California Berkeley. He has practiced law in Morgantown since 1975.
