CHARLESTON -- The Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia (DTCWV) recently held its 26th Annual Meeting at the Glade Springs Resort and Conference Center in Daniels.
The featured speaker was Larry Pozner, a nationally renowned commentator on the art of cross-examination.
During this meeting, DTCWV also elected new officers for the upcoming year. Those elected were Thomas Hurney Jr. of Jackson Kelly as President; David Wyant of Bailey & Wyant as Vice President; Lee Hall of Jenkins Fenstermaker as Treasurer and Gerald Stowers of Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love as Secretary. Immediate Past President is Robert Massie of Huddleston Bolen.
The Executive Director of the organization is Peggy Schultz. She was recently appointed as the Executive Director of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA), an organization comprised of some of the finest trial attorneys in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the provinces of Canada.
The Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia is an association of West Virginia attorneys who defend individuals and corporations in civil litigation. It currently has a membership of about 500 attorneys and 50 legal assistants dedicated to the defense of these clients.
