WINFIELD -- A man has filed a breach of contract complaint against an owner and supervisor of a pub, alleging they failed to pay the monthly profit he was due.
Representing himself, Richard Scott Thompson claims he invested $12,000 with Gregory Stewart and Joseph Stewart on Nov. 1, 2006.
In turn, Thompson alleges they agreed to pay him 6 percent of the profit from The Clubhouse Sports Pub and from lottery machines inside of the pub, the complaint filed Sept. 12 in Putnam Circuit Court states.
"The payments on the investment were supposed to be paid on the 10th day of every month thirty days after the machines were installed in the Clubhouse Sports Pub," the suit states.
Thompson alleges the machines were installed in June 2007 and he was supposed to start receiving money in July.
He claims the only check he ever received was one for $349.
In addition to a return of his initial investment, Thompson is also seeking interest on the money invested, $5,000 for stress, expenses involved in the process of re-obtaining his investment and immediate repayment.
