CHARLESTON -- The law firm of Spilman Thomas & Battle is pleased to announce that Judith P. Thomas, Christina S. Terek, Leigh B. Anderson and Allison L. Carr have joined the firm.

Thomas serves as Counsel in the Charleston office. She returned to a private commercial litigation practice after serving 17 years of experience as a Senior Vice President and General Counsel of a national insurance brokerage firm and third-party administration business.

Thomas focuses on complex commercial litigation and insurance-related consulting matters. She received her B.S.W., summa cum laude, in 1979 and her J.D. in 1983, both from West Virginia University.

Anderson serves as Senior Attorney in the Charleston office. Her primary areas of practice are estate planning and administration. Prior to joining the firm, Anderson was a Personal Trust Specialist and Assistant Vice President for BB&T.

She received her B.A. with High Distinction and Departmental Honors in Marketing in 1993 from the University of Kentucky. She received her J.D. in 1996 from West Virginia University.

Terek is an Associate in the Wheeling office. She primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation and product liability.

She received her B.A., summa cum laude and was Valedictorian, in 1999 from Wheeling Jesuit University and her J.D. in 2004 from West Virginia University College of Law.

Carr is an Associate in the Pittsburgh office. Her primary areas of practice are immigration law, general litigation and construction law.

She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2003 from Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. in 2006 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
