CHARLESTON -- Jackson Kelly recently was named by Law360 as one of the 10 busiest product liability practices in the United States.
Jackson Kelly ranks No. 5 among the listing and is the only firm in West Virginia ranked. The ranking, which was released in an article on Law360's Web site, is also published in the 2009 Law360 Litigation Almanac.
The ranking was developed by the number of non-asbestos related cases for which firms were retained as counsel over a recent one-year period.
Jackson Kelly's Product Liability Practice Group has 18 attorneys spread throughout the firm's offices. The firm has defended product liability cases involving a wide range of products including aviation, automotive, heavy equipment, medical device, pharmaceutical, asbestos, silica, mass and toxic torts, pesticides, lead, tobacco, and other consumer and industrial products.
In addition to defending individual cases in state and federal courts, Jackson Kelly often serves as coordinating counsel on product liability and toxic tort cases, overseeing national and regional defense efforts on behalf of business clients.
Jackson Kelly represents leading global corporations, national companies, entrepreneurs, and individuals in a variety of areas of law. The firm has offices across West Virginia and in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
