PERSONNEL FILE: Huff elected president of legal nurse consultant group

CHARLESTON -- Steptoe & Johnson is pleased to announce that Karen Huff, a legal nurse consultant in the firm's Charleston office, has been elected to the position of President of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

Huff will begin her term as President of AALNC in 2010 serving as President-Elect in the interim.

"AALNC is the leading nurse organization in the country and I am honored to have been chosen as the next President," Huff said. "I look forward to implementing my vision for a collaborative partnership with legal and nursing organizations, while continuing our strategic initiatives for growth in the current economic climate."

Huff has previously served as Director at Large for the states of Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. She has also served as chair of the organization's Certification Board, and is the founding president of the Southern West Virginia Chapter of AALNC. Huff is a past-president of the Legal Nurse Consultant Division of the WV Bar Association.
