CHARLESTON -- Jackson Kelly attorneys Rob Alsop and Amber Hoback were recently named to The State Journal's 2009 Generation Next: 40 Under 40 list. Honorees were recognized for being successful West Virginians who make a difference in their businesses and communities.
Alsop practices with the Business Law Department in the firm's Charleston office, where he is part of the public utilities practice group. In addition to his work for utilities and other entities subject to the regulatory authority of the Public Service Commission, he also engages in transactional work and legislative drafting.
He previously served in the Manchin Administration as Deputy General Counsel and as Secretary for the West Virginia Department of Revenue, a Cabinet-level position.
Hoback is a litigator in the firm's Charleston office where she primarily represents product manufacturers and coal mining companies in mass tort personal injury/property damage cases in state and federal court. She is also the Vice-Chair of the firm's Recruiting Committee and hiring partner for the firm's Charleston office.
There will be an awards reception honoring Alsop, Hoback and their fellow recipients on April 29 at the Ramada Plaza in Charleston. Interested persons may register by April 25.
