CHARLESTON -– Jackson Kelly is pleased to welcome three new attorneys to its Charleston office: Matt Casto, Steve Green and Laura Swingle.
Casto and Green each join the firm as Counsel. Their practices are focused on the oil and gas industry with an emphasis in commercial and general litigation.
Casto and Green routinely handle multi-party litigation matters involving lease and royalty disputes, injunctive relief, premises liability, quiet title actions, deliberate intent, indemnification and contract issues, products liability, work place safety, industrial and commercial accidents, motor carrier liability and public utility litigation.
Both attorneys have provided advice and guidance on issues involving toxic torts, complex litigation, drilling contracts and oil and gas title issues. Prior to joining the firm, Casto and Green served as in-house counsel for the largest active driller of natural gas in the United States.
Swingle joins the firm in the Environmental Practice Group. Her practice will focus on state and federal issues related to air, water and waste management as well as the developing area of global climate change.
Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, Swingle was Assistant Counsel at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection where she represented the agency in a variety of manners relating to the state's water quality and permitting program.
Swingle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in animal and veterinary science from West Virginia University, a Master of Science degree in environmental science from the College of Charleston (S.C.) and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina.
