PERSONNEL FILE: Huddleston Bolen's Huddleston McCarty admitted to Kentucky Bar

HUNTINGTON -- Huddleston Bolen is pleased to announce that attorney Cindy McCarty has been admitted to the Kentucky Bar.

McCarty, who practices in the firm's Huntington office, has been a member of the West Virginia bar since 2003.

"Huddleston Bolen is committed to providing full legal services to clients in the Bluegrass State. Cindy's admission to the Kentucky Bar adds additional depth and expertise to an already robust practice."

McCarty is a Senior Associate at Huddleston Bolen. She represents natural resource and energy clients in mass tort litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury defense.

In addition, she has experience in regulatory matters before the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, the West Virginia Surface Mine Board, and other regulatory agencies and administrative boards. She also has represented clients in "deliberate intent" actions, involving significant issues of OSHA and MSHA compliance.

McCarty is a frequent participant in seminars on oil, gas and mineral law, and also is a co-author of the West Virginia section of the "Products Liability Desk Reference, A Fifty-State Compendium," printed annually by Aspen Publishers.

A native of Hager Hill, Ky., McCarty received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in 2000 from Centre College in Danville, Ky. She was the recipient of the John Y. Brown Sr. Scholarship at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2003. While at UK, McCarty was a member of the Moot Court Board.

Currently, McCarty is President of the non-profit organization, Dress for Success River Cities, and a volunteer for the Huntington Museum of Art and the State Scholars Initiative. She also is a member of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, the DRI, and the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals Committee.
