HUNTINGTON -- Huddleston Bolen has announced the launch of a new electronic newsletter designed to provide business people with practical information on the host of legal topics that impact their bottom line.

The publication, titled Main and Court: the Intersection of Business and the Law, is free to the business community. To sign-up for the publication, go to www.huddlestonbolen.com/publications.

The e-publication launches with a four-part series on creditors rights. Authored by Jan Holbrook, who heads Huddleston Bolen's Bankruptcy Practice, the series explores four topics. The first issue, released in July focuses on the automatic stay, which bars creditors from taking action against a debtor who has declared bankruptcy.

The second issue, scheduled for release in August will provide a detailed overview of the various defenses a creditor can use to reduce or avoid exposure to preference claims. The third issue will discuss the area of law that allows certain creditors to reclaim goods from the debtor. The fourth and final issue in the series focuses on proof of claims.

"The unfortunate state of the economy today is driving many businesses to closely evaluate and manage the credit relationship with their customers. We felt it was important to provide readers with relevant, practical information that will help them through the recession," Holbrook said.

Later issues will explore the host of legal topics that impact businesses.
