BECKLEY -– The law firm of Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown and Poe is proud to announce that Chip Williams, director of litigation in the firm's Beckley office, has been elected an equity (owner) member of the firm.
He was the youngest person to gain non-equity membership and at 35 is now the youngest person to gain equity membership in the firm.
Williams is a native of Beckley and has been with the firm's Beckley office since his graduation from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1999. Other early achievements in life to support his character and strong work ethic:
* Summit of Mountain Honorary (The highest Ranking Honorary at WVU) for 2 years
* Presented first closing argument in a Federal Trail at age 26
* Tried first case at age 27
* Received The State Journal's Generation Next "40 Under 40" award in 2008
During the past 10 years, Williams has represented governmental entities, corporations and individuals throughout Southern West Virginia.
While his primary focus is in civil rights litigation and school law, Williams has litigated cases involving contract disputes, trucking, general auto defense, mold, construction and products liability.
