PERSONNEL FILE: Spilman expands Charleston and Roanoke offices

CHARLESTON -– Spilman Thomas & Battle is pleased to announce that several attorneys have joined the firm.

Gerald M. Titus III joins the Charleston office as an associate and primarily practices in general civil litigation and products liability defense.

He previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, prosecuting violent federal crimes. Titus received his B.A. in 2000 and his J.D. in 2003, both from Washington and Lee University.

Joseph D. Garcia joins the Charleston office as an associate with the general litigation department.

Garcia received his B.A. in 2005 and his J.D. in 2009, both from West Virginia University.

Patrick R. Barry is an associate located in the Charleston office.

He primarily practices general litigation, consumer finance and labor & employment law. Barry received his B.A. in 2002 from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2009 from Duquesne University School of Law.

Travis A. Knobbe joins the firm as an associate in the Roanoke, Va., office. He focuses primarily on commercial litigation, creditors' rights and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining the firm, Knobbe served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable William F. Stone, Bankruptcy Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia. He received his B.A. in 2004 from Bethany College and his J.D. in 2008 from West Virginia University College of Law.
