PERSONNEL FILE: Jackson Kelly attorney elected to United Way board of directors

CHARLESTON -– Jackson Kelly attorney Ken Tawney recently was elected to the board of directors of United Way of Central West Virginia Inc.

Tawney is a member in the Business Law Department of Jackson Kelly. His practice is centered on oil and gas work and commercial litigation. Tawney represents producers, pipelines, local distribution companies and lenders in state and federal commercial litigation and regulatory proceedings and assists clients with regard to mineral title issues and transactional matters, including the purchase and sale of oil and gas producing properties, leases, pipelines and other assets.

United Way of Central West Virginia is a volunteer-led, volunteer-driven organization representing Boone, Clay, Logan, Kanawha and Putnam counties. Tawney was actively involved with the organization prior to his board appointment. He served on committees and co-chaired the Sunday Scoop event.
