* From 1969 to 2007, Gunto was employed by PPG in various capacities, including maintenance repairman, at its Natrium facility. The defective condition of the Benzene Suppliers' benzene was a direct and approximate cause of Gunto's development of a hematopoietic disease. This development caused severe injury, damage, and ultimately death. Injury and damage to his wrongful death beneficiaries is sought in accordance with West Virginia's Long Arm Statutes. Compensatory damages are claimed from all defendants, jointly and severally, in an amount to be determined by trier of fact, along with an award of punitive damages.
