CLARKSBURG -– Steptoe & Johnson has announced that Marsha K. Hudkins, Of Counsel, has been installed as a regional liaison to the Greater Appalachian Basin Association of Lease and Title Analysts (GABALTA).

As the newest chapter of the National Association of Lease and Title Analysts, GABALTA membership covers Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, Kentucky, Virginia, and the Province of Ontario, Canada. A professional organization comprised of men and women engaged in lease and title work within the energy industry, members work to promote effective communication between industry firms and the public through continued education and networking.

At Steptoe & Johnson, Hudkins concentrates her practice in energy and mineral law, and commercial and real estate transactions. A graduate of West Virginia University (J.D., M.P.A), and Fairmont State University (B.S.), Hudkins also serves on the board of directors for The Connecting Link, Inc., and she received the Pro Bono Award for Outstanding Public Service from the Center for Law & Public Service.

"We're very proud that Marsha has taken on such an important leadership role with this organization," began Sharon O. Flanery, a member of the firm as well as a current director of GABALTA. "Our involvement illustrates how our attorneys serve as client advocates in energy-related business and trade organizations, and GABALTA clearly has the firm's support," Flanery said.
