CHARLESTON -- Spilman Thomas & Battle recently announced the magazine Corporate Counsel has highlighted it as one of the "Go-To law firms" for 2010.
This distinction is awarded every year by a systematic approach. Each of the general counsels for the top 500 companies in the United States are asked to list which outside law firms they turn to for assistance in a variety of practice areas, including litigation, corporate transactions/mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment, intellectual property, securities, Canadian law and international law.
E. I. du Pont de Nemours Company, American International Group (AIG), and Capital One Financial named Spilman as a "go to" firm for both labor and employment law and litigation.
