PERSONNEL FILE: Four named to Bowles Rice executive committee

CHARLESTON -- Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love named attorneys Stuart A. McMillan, Michael D. Lorensen and J. Stan Lee to the firm's Executive Committee at its annual partner meeting, according to Managing Partner Tom Heywood.

Another partner, Timothy C. Wills, was elected to fill a vacancy in late 2009.

"These four lawyers are a great addition to the Bowles Rice management team," Heywood said. "Members of our Executive Committee chart the firm's long-term growth and strategic planning and make key decisions related to operations."

Stuart McMillan, a partner in the firm's Charleston office, is the leader of the firm's General Torts and Insurance Defense group. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of the West Virginia State Bar and Vice Chairman of the Charleston Family YMCA. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law. He is listed among Best Lawyers in America by publishers Woodward & White.

Michael Lorensen also is a member of the General Torts and Insurance Defense group and practices in the firm's Martinsburg, West Virginia office. A former member of the West Virginia Board of Law Examiners, he is licensed to practice law in West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia. He received his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law.

Stan Lee is a partner in the firm's Lexington, Kentucky, office and concentrates his practice in Litigation, Insurance Defense and Commercial and Financial Services. He is a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, where he currently serves on the judiciary, natural resources and local government committees. He served as Minority Whip in the House from 2006 to 2008. Lee received his law degree from the University of Kentucky.

Timothy Wills also is a partner in the firm's Lexington office and chairs the Bowles Rice Client Development Department. He is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law group and is listed among The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Construction Law, Labor and Employment Law and Professional Malpractice Law. Wills is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fayette County Bar Foundation. He received his law degree from the University of Kentucky.
