State Law Library to host session on Legal Aid Clinic

CHARLESTON -– The State Law Library will host a one-hour informational session on West Virginia Legal Aid's Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24.

Catherine Eckley, Legal Aid Pro Bono Supervising Attorney, will explain the clinic's goal of offering one-on-one assistance to taxpayers who are involved in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and providing guidance with examination or appeals matters.

Eckley also will discuss identity theft and how to amend tax returns in certain situations.

The State Law Library is located in the East Wing of the State Capitol, Room E-404, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard East. Metered parking is available on California Avenue, and in the surface lots near the Culture Center and the parking structure on Piedmont Avenue.
