Maynard
WILLIAMSON -– West Virginians for Life Political Action Committee, the political arm of West Virginians for Life, this week endorsed Spike Maynard in his bid for West Virginia's Third Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
"We thank Spike Maynard for his commitment for the most vulnerable members of the human family and look forward to a successful campaign," stated Karen Cross, West Virginians for Life PAC President.
"West Virginians are conservative by nature, and overwhelmingly pro-life so I am honored today to have the support of the largest and leading pro-life group like West Virginians for Life," said Maynard. "I am deeply grateful to have the West Virginians for Life endorsement.
"In my career as a trial judge, and Supreme Court Justice, I've consistently taken the stand against abortion," continued Maynard. "I've enjoyed the support of active pro-life groups in the past, and I'm very appreciative to have their support in this election. With the help of groups like West Virginian for Life, I will go to Washington and fight the Obama/Pelosi liberal agenda."
West Virginians for Life, the state affiliate of the national Right to Life Committee, is the state's largest pro-life group with more than 40 local chapters.
Maynard is seeking the Republican nomination for the 3rd Congressional District of West Virginia. Maynard is a former West Virginia State Supreme Court Justice and trial judge from Mingo County.
