PERSONNEL FILE: Bolen honored by W.Va. State Bar Association

HUNTINGTON -- The West Virginia Bar Association has named Richard "Dick" Bolen a 2010 West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellow for his outstanding service to the legal profession.

Bolen said he is honored to be included amongst such accomplished West Virginia attorneys.

"To be included in a group representing some of the greatest contributors to the legal profession is a considerable honor. I hope to continue to work towards excellence in my profession and community," he said.

Bolen concentrates in law involving litigation and natural resources. His record of defense verdicts in federal and state jury trials in southern West Virginia and eastern Kentucky is an enviable one. He has also served as an arbitrator in various coal, oil and gas matters.

He is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. Among his bar and professional activities, Bolen has served as President of the West Virginia Bar Association and as a Trustee of the Eastern Mineral Law Foundation. He has written and lectured on various coal, oil, gas and other topics. He has been honored by Best Lawyers and Chambers USA for his work in natural resource law and has also been named by West Virginia Super Lawyers for his work in the area of energy and natural resources.
