CHARLESTON -– Jackson Kelly has announced the opening of a new office in Indiana.

The Indianapolis office initially will be staffed by Edward L. ("Skipp") Kropp, a member of the firm's Environmental Practice Group, with additional attorneys to be added in response to client demand.

"The opening of an Indianapolis office will allow the firm to expand its services to current clients that have operations there," Jackson Kelly CEO Michael D. Foster said. "Our clients rely on us for our industry knowledge, and Skipp's understanding of the regulatory and economic issues affecting the nation's energy providers is on the cutting edge."

"By expanding our footprint into Indiana, we are able to provide our clients there with the type of personal service they require in this rapidly-changing environment," added David Flannery, leader of Jackson Kelly's Environmental Practice Group.

The firm's current office locations (in West Virginia, Kentucky, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C.) mirror that of the energy industry's assets.

Kropp's practice focuses on energy and environmental law. He is a former Chief of the West Virginia Division of Environmental Protection Office of Air Quality and former Deputy Director of the West Virginia Division of Environmental Protection. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering and a Master of Science degree in environmental engineering, both from Purdue University. In addition, he received his Juris Doctor from The Capital University.

Jackson Kelly represents global corporations, national companies, entrepreneurs and individuals in areas of law such as environmental, energy, business, labor and employment, federal and state workers' compensation, civil litigation and occupational safety and health. The firm has offices in Colorado, the District of Columbia, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
