PERSONNEL FILE: W.Va. attorney joins Pittsburgh firm

PITTSBURGH -- Maria W. Hughes has joined the Pittsburgh office of Jackson Lewis, one of the largest and fastest growing workplace law firms in the United States, as an associate.

She comes to Jackson Lewis from the Charleston, W.Va., law firm of Kay Casto & Chaney.

Hughes is admitted to practice law in West Virginia with eligible reciprocity in Pennsylvania. She received her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law where she was a recipient of the Order of the Coif, the Patrick Duffy Koontz Award for outstanding scholastic achievement, and served as co-editor of the National Coal Issue of the West Virginia Law Review.

She received a B.S., magna cum laude, from West Virginia University where she was inducted in the national accounting honorary Beta Alpha Psi.
