CHARLESTON -- The management team of the law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that T. Randolph Cox has been named the "Charleston, WV Best Lawyers Government Relations Lawyer of the Year" for 2011.
Only a single attorney in each specialty in each community is recognized as such.
"Lawyers of the Year" are chosen based on particularly high ratings received during the yearly Best Lawyers peer-review surveys. Cox is a member in Spilman's Charleston office and heads the government relations practice group. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1971, his M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in 1973, and his J.D. from the University of Miami in 1976. He is admitted to the West Virginia State Bar, Florida Bar, West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, and the Supreme Court of the State of Florida.
