Casey
CHARLESTON -– Lewis Glasser Casey & Rollins has named Nick Casey to be the firm's new managing partner.
In addition, the law firm has hired two additional attorneys to assist with its well-established and growing natural gas, commercial and litigation practices.
As managing partner, Casey will be responsible for managing the firm's operations and facilitating continued growth and expansion, particularly in its energy and government relations services.
Casey formerly was chairman of the West Virginia Democratic Party and then was under consideration for a possible appointment to a federal circuit court judgeship. He said he now will be focusing his energies and attention more on continued success of the law firm.
"I appreciated the fact that Senator Byrd recommended me to the President for a federal judgeship, but given the climate in D.C. and the political overlay I am going to be managing partner and keep moving forward with my law practice and legislative work."
Bernie E. Worley III has joined the firm's natural gas practice as an associate, after having worked as an attorney for oil and natural gas mineral rights and lease matters. Most recently he was a Contract Land Administrator for EQT. Worley has a B.A. from West Virginia University and a J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law.
P. Zachary Stewart will be working as an associate in the firm's litigation practice. Prior to coming to the firm Stewart worked as a Law Clerk for the West Virginia Ethics Commission. He has a B.A. degree in Political Science from West Virginia University and a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law.
