Heather and Michael Small for Lincoln Small vs. WVU Board of Governors

Lincoln Small, born February 2009 at St.Joseph Hospital, was transferred to WVU Hospital for a suspected bowel obstruction. He was scheduled for an upper GI and possible surgery within the next few days. At the request of Heather and Michael Small, Lincoln was life flighted to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. He received surgery for a gangrenous bowel that had to be resected. The Small's claim WVU failed to recognize the radiographs taken on Lincoln's admission were different from those of St. Joseph's and failed to diagnose his problem. The Small's seek judgment for past, present and future medical expenses, supplies, therapists, home health care, general and special damages.
