PERSONNEL FILE: Foster, LaCagnin honored as Bar Foundation Fellows

CHARLESTON -– Jackson Kelly attorneys Michael D. Foster and Stephen M. LaCagnin were honored as West Virginia State Bar Foundation Fellows during the 13th Annual Bar Foundation Fellows dinner on April 28.

The honor of Fellow recognizes those lawyers and members of the judiciary whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated dedication to the welfare of their communities and honorable service to the legal profession with the individuals selected reflecting the diverse nature of the legal profession in West Virginia.

Foster is the Managing Member of Jackson Kelly. His practice focuses upon the design of qualified plans for owner-employees and the leveraging of employer contributions in favor of owners and highly-compensated employees. In addition Foster oversees the firm's Employee Benefits Group.

LaCagnin is the Manager and head of the Litigation Department of the Morgantown office of Jackson Kelly. He also serves as Manager of the firm's Clarksburg office. While his defense work in recent years has focused primarily on litigation involving the coal industry, LaCagnin continues to defend a diverse range of clients and matters including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability and aviation accidents.

The West Virginia State Bar is the organization of all lawyers licensed to practice law in West Virginia and exists to serve members, the legal profession and the public. The mission of the West Virginia State Bar is to improve the administration of justice and enhance the provision of legal services to citizens.
