PERSONNEL FILE: Lockhart named to Marshall alumni board

HUNTINGTON -- Huddleston Bolen has announced that Attorney Matthew Lockhart, an Associate in the Huntington office, has been named to the Marshall University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

"I am honored to serve on the Alumni Board of Marshall University," Lockhart said. "I feel that Marshall University has contributed much to my personal and professional lives and this service is a small token of what I can give back to them."

Lockhart received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Marshall in 2004. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate Degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2009.

At Huddleston Bolen, his law practice is focused on the areas of class action and mass torts, labor and employment law, litigation and transportation law.

The Marshall University Alumni Board is composed of members with a variety of backgrounds and experience. The Board serves the Alumni Association and works to help fulfill its vision: "The Marshall University Alumni Association is a catalyst to build lifelong partnerships among Marshall, its students, alumni and friends and to support the University's Mission.

The Alumni Association states its goals as follows:

* Foster a lifelong partnership with Marshall University through the development of programs and services.

* Provide avenues of communication with alumni, students and friends so that they will remain connected with Marshall.

* Be a visible and integral partner in the mission of Marshall University.
