MARTINSBURG -- Martin & Seibert shareholder E. Kay Fuller has been selected as a speaker for a national conference on Insurance Bad Faith and Extra-Contractual Liability.

The seminar, hosted by Defense Research Institute, will be conducted June 22-24 in Washington, D.C.

Joining Fuller are other nationally recognized bad faith counsel and insurance professionals as well as a state supreme court justice. This year's seminar features a mock trial in which Fuller is participating including presenting closing argument.

"We chose a practical approach in order to give practitioners better information on how to defend insurance companies who face punitive damages exposure," Fuller stated. "I find that practical advice is much more helpful," she said.

Fuller chairs the firm's litigation department and often lectures on insurance-related issues. She is currently involved in litigating a number of issues of first impression for insurers including privacy matters.

Martin & Seibert is a regional firm with offices in West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland.
