BRIDGEPORT -- Steptoe & Johnson is pleased to welcome James Turner, Member, Robert Edward "Booter" Ryan, Of Counsel, and Jessica Wiley, Associate, to its Charleston and Huntington offices.

Turner and Wiley will practice in the firm's Huntington office and Ryan will practice in the Charleston office.

Turner, a graduate of Washington University (B.A.) and the West Virginia Uniersity College of Law (J.D.), focuses his practice in the area of transportation law. He joined Steptoe & Johnson from the law firm of Setliff Turner & Holland and previously practiced at Huddleston Bolen, LLP. Turner is named among The Best Lawyers in America®, and one of West Virginia's Top Lawyers by The State Journal in 2010. He is a 2011 West Virginia Super Lawyer®.

Turner is a member of the Defense Research Institute and serves as chair of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee.

"Booter" Ryan's concentrations include transportation law, toxic torts, insurance coverage and defense, and professional negligence.

A graduate of West Virginia University (B.A.), and Washington and Lee University School of Law (J.D), Ryan is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, Defense Research Institute, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. He previously practiced with Huddleston Bolen, LLP. He was selected as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" for 2011, and was recognized by The State Journal in "Generation Next: 40 Under 40" in 2009.

Jessica Wiley is a graduate of WVU (B.S. and J.D.). She focuses her practice in the areas of general litigation including transportation law, personal injury, public utility law, premises liability and toxic torts. Wiley also practiced with Setliff Turner & Holland as well as Huddleston Bolen, LLP before joining Steptoe & Johnson. Wiley is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves where she achieved the rank of sergeant.

She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and Energy and Mineral Law Foundation.
