PERSONNEL FILE: 20/10 names new consultant

CHARLESTON -– Karen Workman and Gina Pertee, co-managing directors of 20/10 Consulting LLC, are pleased to announce that Jessica Carter has joined the company as a consultant.

A graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law (J.D.), College of Business and Economics (M.B.A.), and School of Journalism (B.S.), Carter joined the law firm of Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love LLP in 2006 as an associate in the litigation department. Resident in the Martinsburg, WV office, she represented corporate and government entities in contract disputes, employee grievances, and with crisis communications.

In 2008, Carter returned to Charleston as Director of Policy for the West Virginia Primary Care Association, a nonprofit representing community and school-based health centers. As Director of Policy, she assisted over 155 individual health centers with policy formulation and compliance, and assisted in the transition of ARRA funding requirements. During this time, she also aided other nonprofits and business professionals with communication strategies, including speech writing, marketing content, and crisis communications. In 2010, Carter made the leap to full-time consulting. Her projects have included ghost writing a corporate executive's biography, speech and communication writing for a gubernatorial candidate, and grant writing.

Now with 20/10 Consulting, Carter will work with clients to deliver organization development and human resource services to help them pursue their objectives.
