PERSONNEL FILE: Martin & Seibert attorney to speak at annual ACI 'Bad Faith' forum

MARTINSBURG -- Kay Fuller, Director of Litigation at the Martinsburg office of Martin & Seibert, has been recently nominated to speak at the 22nd National Advanced Forum on Bad Faith Litigation, in Orlando, FL.

According to its annual host, the American Conference Institute, the forum "shapes the future of bad faith litigation strategies for leading outside counsel, in-house counsel and claims examiners in the insurance industry."

Aside from lecturing nationally, Fuller recently appeared in Washington, D.C., on behalf of the Defense Research Institute to litigate to a national mock jury on the issue of punitive damages in insurance-related cases. She is currently engaged in an appeal to the United States Supreme Court on a matter of privacy rights and commercial speech that should clarify the relationship between individual privacy rights and governmental and industry reporting requirements.

Active in the legal industry, Fuller is also an advocate for the recognition of women in law and business, has lectured and authored articles for insurance companies, and has been recognized as an expert witness in the field of insurance "bad faith."

Her presentation concerning the ethics of attorney-client privilege and work product protections will take place Dec. 1 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando.
