CHARLESTON — The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that Charles L. Woody will be serving as Adjunct Professor of Law at Washington and Lee University School of Law. He will teach employment law beginning in the spring 2012 semester.
Woody will continue his law practice with Spilman while teaching. His primary areas of practice are labor and employment law, litigation and appellate practice. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Woody is a Fellow with the American Bar Association and Chairman of the Labor Section of the West Virginia State Bar. He has been named to the Super Lawyers list by West Virginia Super Lawyers magazine, listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Labor and Employment Law, and is Top Ranked as a Leading Individual by Chambers USA.
He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1969 and his J.D. from Florida State University in 1972.
