CHARLESTON -— The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that R. Christopher Anderson has joined the firm's Charleston office as Counsel.
Anderson joins the firm's growing litigation department, and he will devote a large portion of his practice to energy litigation, including a wide range commercial and land-rights disputes. He will also represent companies and individuals in proceedings before the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Anderson previously worked as Assistant General Counsel at International Coal Group, Inc.
Anderson received his bachelor's degree in engineering, summa cum laude, and law degree from West Virginia University. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
