LEWISBURG -– Dinsmore & Shohl is pleased to announce that it has expanded its presence in the Mountain State with a new office in Lewisburg.
Partner Jason Long assumes the role of managing the office and makes the switch from the firm's Morgantown location.
"Our newest office provides the firm with the opportunity to be situated closer to existing clients not only in the Greenbrier Valley area but throughout Southern West Virginia. Our work with local and community banks, corporations, coal operations, estate administration, and family wealth planning drove this expansion and I view the opening of the Lewisburg office as a 'win-win' for both the law firm and our clients," said Long.
The office is located at 237 North Court Street in the heart of Lewisburg. The firm has its sights set on growing the office; however, attorneys from Dinsmore's other West Virginia offices will also be spending time working in Lewisburg. This expansion follows on the heels of Dinsmore's recent move into the nation's capital.
"Jason is recognized statewide for being the premier attorney for education law. He has grown that field with the firm and will apply that growth to managing the office," said John Hussell, Managing Partner of Dinsmore's Charleston office. "Dinsmore has a vast amount of attorneys with ties to the Greenbrier Valley. The firm is excited about the prospects of strengthening those ties and becoming more involved in the many positive things occurring in the Greenbrier Valley."
In particular for Long, who is a native of Greenbrier County and Pocahontas County, the new office provides an opportunity to continue growing the firm's Education Law Practice Group.
"As Chair of the Education Group, I have an opportunity to bring our knowledge and experience working with school districts across the state to this region, where we already have existing clients, but hope to expand these services to additional regional counties," Long explained.
In just nine years, Dinsmore has grown to more than 55 attorneys across West Virginia. In 2002, the firm's first office was established in Charleston followed by locations in Morgantown and Wheeling in 2007.
Dinsmore & Shohl is comprised of more than 450 attorneys practicing in 12 offices throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Washington D.C. For more than a century, Dinsmore & Shohl has provided a broad range of integrated services to meet the needs of both large and small businesses as well as institutions, associations, governments, professional firms and individuals.
