CANONSBURG, Pa. – Steptoe & Johnson is pleased to announce that Martin J. Saunders has joined the firm's Southpointe office in Canonsburg, Pa., as a member of the Labor and Employment practice group.
Saunders joins Steptoe & Johnson from the Pittsburgh firm of Jackson Lewis, LLP, where he was a partner. Saunders is an accomplished practitioner of labor and employment law on behalf of management and in-house counsel. He has a substantial record of success in disposition of employment claims, bench and jury trials and defense of favorable trial court decisions on appeal.
In addition, Saunders is experienced in negotiation and administration of labor contracts, providing counsel to employers on human resource matters and maintaining union-free environments.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati (B.A.), the College of William and Mary School of Law (J.D.), and New York University (LL.M.), Saunders also teaches labor and employment opportunity law at the University of Pittsburgh and the Community College of Allegheny County.
