Marion Co. judge to speak at WVU College of Law

MORGANTOWN -– Judge Michael Aloi, who was appointed to the 16th Judicial Circuit serving Marion County earlier this year, will speak at West Virginia University's College of Law Nov. 14 at noon in the Marlyn Lugar Courtroom.

Aloi will speak about mediation from the standpoint of a mediator, a lawyer and a judge. He has mediated more than 2,500 cases.

The event, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, a student group from the WVU College of Law.

Aloi is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and a 1983 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law. Before taking the bench, he was an attorney with Manchin and Aloi Attorneys at Law in Fairmont for 28 years and is past president of the West Virginia State Bar.
