* City National loaned the Smiths money for the purchase of a home and property of which they eventually stopped making payments for. After they refused to make payments on the loan and Lisa Smith refused to leave the property, City National took the defendants to federal court and a foreclosure sale was conducted and on Sept. 26, the Smiths were given notices of eviction. City National claims on Nov. 8, it learned that timbering operations were being conducted on the property without the bank's permission. It is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Diane Jett vs. Ghassan A. Assi and John Doe Corporation
PA- Robert B. Warner, Tammy Bowles Raines; J- Phillip Stowers
* On Nov. 24, 2009, Jett slipped and fell while on the defendants' rental property. She claims the defendants failed to maintain the steps and decking, which caused her to become injured. Jett is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
