PERSONNEL FILE: Hooper appointed to Commission for National, Community Service

WHEELING -– Jackson Kelly attorney Michael E. Hooper was recently appointed by West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin to the West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service.

In his role as commissioner, Hooper will serve a three-year term and has already been assigned to the Performance Oversight Committee.

The West Virginia Commission for National and Community Service challenges West Virginians to strengthen their communities through service and volunteerism. The Commission is responsible for identifying and mobilizing resources, promoting an ethic of service and empowering communities to solve problems and improve the quality of life for individuals and families.

Hooper is the Assistant Leader of the firm's Land and Natural Resource Development Practice Group. His practice is focused on business transactions and formation, including those within the field of mineral rights, titles and leases; banking; commercial real estate development and financing; commercial litigation and family law litigation.
