MORGANTOWN -- Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has opened its 53rd office and first in West Virginia in Morgantown.

Morgantown was ranked last year by Forbes magazine as the #10 best small city in the nation to conduct business. Shareholder Nick Linn, a West Virginia native, has relocated from Littler's Dallas office to return home to lead the firm's efforts in the state. Linn, with more than 24 years of experience practicing employment law, will serve as office managing shareholder.

"West Virginia is a global hub for a number of leading industries and we see opportunity to not only serve our existing client base in the state, but to capitalize on the diversity of its economy as we continue to expand the Littler footprint nationally," said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of the firm. "As a native West Virginian, Nick is well-positioned to leverage his deep roots and local ties to showcase Littler's vast labor and employment resources and to meet the legal needs of the state's employers."

Littler's office will be located in the United Center, 1085 Van Voorhis Road, Suite 200. As office managing shareholder, Linn will be responsible for serving the firm's current clients in the state while expanding Littler's client base and attracting local talent.

An experienced lawyer, Linn has represented both private and public sector employers in a wide variety of employment litigation and traditional labor matters throughout the United States. Prior to joining Littler, Linn worked for a Fortune 100 information technology company, where he served as vice president in charge of all employment litigation and employment-related legal matters on a global basis.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to return home to West Virginia and look forward to providing Littler's depth of labor and employment service offerings to companies in this great state," added Linn. "As a national and expanding international firm, Littler is poised to handle all aspects of employment and labor law facing companies on a statewide, national and global scale."

Linn earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.A. from Bethany College. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, the District of Columbia, Texas and Ohio.

With more than 850 attorneys and 53 offices, Littler Mendelson is the largest U.S.-based law firm exclusively devoted to representing management in employment and labor law matters. As the only U.S. member of the Ius Laboris global alliance, Littler has extensive resources to address the needs of multi-national clients, from navigating international employment laws and labor relations issues to applying corporate policies worldwide.

Established in 1942, the firm has litigated, mediated and negotiated some of the most influential employment law cases and labor contracts on record. For more information, visit littler.com.
