PERSONNEL FILE: Creditor bankruptcy lawyer joins Spilman

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -— The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that Rayford K. "Trip" Adams III has joined its Winston-Salem, N.C. office as counsel.

Adams will lead the firm's bankruptcy/creditors' rights practice in North Carolina. The group is unique in its focus: representing only creditors in bankruptcy matters.

Adams's primary areas of practice are bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and commercial disputes and workouts. He has more than thirty years of experience in all aspects of bankruptcy matters and has represented creditors, lessors, committees, debtors, guarantors and trustees in a broad range of matters.

Adams teaches bankruptcy law at Elon University School of Law and is a frequent speaker on related topics. He is board-certified as a Specialist in Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Adams is also AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine and Business North Carolina magazine for bankruptcy law.
