MORGANTOWN -- Two former employees are suing Jan-Care Ambulance Service, Inc., for sexual harassment they were subjected to other employees.

Jerry Long, an employee of Jan-Care, was also named as a defendant in one suit. Olan Leonard was also named as a defendant in the other suit.

A.G.N. was employed by Jan-Care and from August 2009 until March 17, 2010, Long began a campaign of sexual harassment, according to a complaint filed Feb. 27 in Monongalia Circuit Court.

A.G.N. claims Long used sexually suggestive, inappropriate, vulgar and.or abusive verbal language directed toward her and engaged in physically touching her breasts and genitalia.

Long also sexually harassed A.G.N. by communicating with her incessantly and with great frequency via text message and/or telephone calls wherein he used "sexually suggestive, inappropriate, vulgar and/or abusive language," according to the suit.

A.G.N. claims she made several attempts to report Long's behavior and complain to upper management, but Jan-Care did nothing to remedy the situation.

The defendants' actions created a hostile work environment, which forced A.G.N. to resign from her employment, according to the suit.

A.G.N. is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
