Walker
CHARLESTON -- Shantel Boone Walker has joined Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love as an associate in the firm's Charleston office.
She has substantial experience representing employers and businesses in employment, workers' compensation and civil litigation matters and will concentrate her practice in those areas at Bowles Rice.
Prior to joining Bowles Rice, Walker was in private practice in North Carolina, where she served as secretary of the Gaston County Bar, 2009-2010. She was recognized as Lawyer of the Year by Legal Aid of North Carolina -- Gastonia in 2009 and received the Distinguished Service Award from Legal Aid of North Carolina in 2008. She is a member of the United States Army Reserve, JAG Corps.
She is a 2007 graduate of the Wake Forest School of Law, where she was a member of the National Trial Team and received the American Academy of Trial Lawyers Medal of Excellence in Advocacy. She received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Hampton University in 2004.
