CHARLESTON -– Jackson Kelly attorneys A.L. Emch and Thomas J. Hurney Jr. have been named to the Super Lawyers West Virginia 2012 Top Ten List.
This honor is given to 10 attorneys in West Virginia who received the highest point totals in the Super Lawyers' West Virginia nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. This is the fourth time Emch has made the Top Ten list and the fifth time Hurney has made the list."
This comes on the heels of the firm's announcement that 24 of Jackson Kelly's West Virginia lawyers were selected for inclusion on the West Virginia Super Lawyers 2012 list and thirteen others were chosen for the West Virginia Rising Stars 2012 list.
Emch practices in the Industrial, Environmental and Complex Litigation Practice Group at the firm. His practice is focused on the representation of defendants in trial and appellate litigation in both state and federal courts, with emphases on personal injury, including deliberate intent cases and industrial accidents), product liability, toxic torts, class actions, mass torts and other complex litigation.
Hurney is the Leader of the Health Care and Finance Practice Group at Jackson Kelly and has a practice which involves the litigation and trial of cases involving serious personal injury and wrongful death. Among his recent trials include defending an action for injunction involving the Clean Water Act, a case involving violation of privacy and several medical professional liability cases.
