CHARLESTON -- The law firm of Bailey & Wyant welcomes their newest associate, Kevin Davis, to their Charleston office.
Davis comes to Bailey & Wyant from the Nationwide Insurance Trial Division where he represented clients in criminal defense matters of first degree murder, armed robbery and has tried two cases to verdict in personal injury defense.
In 2000, Davis received his Juris Doctorate from the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. He also received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina. While at The Citadel, he was active through teaching proper military etiquette as Cadre Corporal Sergeant to serving as Operations Officer.
While at Spilman, Thomas & Battle, Davis gained experience practicing law in debt collections, personal injury as well as toxic and mass tort litigation. In 2005, Davis represented clients in personal injury and insurance defense as an associate at MacCorkle, Lavender & Sweeney.
Davis was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in 2000. Also, he is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.
As an Associate at Bailey & Wyant, Davis will be practicing in the areas of personal injury, premises liability, products liability and insurance defense.
He resides in the Charleston area with his wife Chelle and their four children.
