CHARLESTON -– Steptoe & Johnson is pleased to announce that Erin F. Anderson, a member of the firm, has been elected for the position of Recording Secretary of the National Association of Lease and Title Analysts (NALTA) Board of Directors.
Anderson represents the Greater Appalachian Basin Association of Lease and Title Analysts (GABALTA) on the national board. Last year, Anderson served as a member of the Board of Directors for NALTA.
Anderson focuses her practice in the areas of energy law and mineral title and energy real estate transactions. She is a graduate of West Virginia University (B.S) and the West Virginia University College of Law (J.D.). In addition to her roles at NALTA and GABALTA, Anderson is also a member of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation, the Institute of Energy Law and the Women's Energy Network.
"Since being appointed to the NALTA board last year, Erin has demonstrated her leadership and client advocacy," said Sharon O. Flanery, leader of the firm's Energy Team. "It is that type of leadership and know-how that Erin conveyed on a national level that led to her elevated position at NALTA, an organization that Steptoe & Johnson clearly supports."
NALTA is a professional organization comprised of men and women engaged in lease and title work in the energy industry. GABALTA covers membership in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, Kentucky, Virginia, and the Province of Ontario, Canada. Members work to promote effective communication between industry firms and the public through continued education and networking.
