Arena worker says he was injured before Reba McEntire concert

Bigsandy

HUNTINGTON - A Cabell County resident is claiming he was injured while preparing for a Reba McEntire concert.

Ronald G. St. Clair filed a lawsuit Sept. 20 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia against Reba's Business Inc., Starstruck Entertainment Inc., Anschutz Co., Anschutz Entertainment Group Inc., doing business as AEG Live, AEG Live LLC, The Messina Group LP and John Doe, citing negligence.

St. Clair says that on Oct. 15, 2011, he was employed by Big Sandy Superstore Arena performing labor services to prepare for the Reba McEntire concert. While working, the defendants dislodged a light fixture from the ceiling, causing it to fall to the ground where it struck the plaintiff, causing serious injury, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. He is being represented by Charleston law firm Maroney, Williams, Weaver & Pancake PLLC.
